Radikon Oslavje 2013 (1000ml)

The Radikon family lives in Oslavia, a small town located in Collio region bordering Slovenia. The vineyards, that are exposed on South and Southeast area are under a favourable microclimate and are processed in full respect. The family harvests when the leaves turn yellow and the seeds inside the grapes are ripe. It was in 1995 that Radikon began using his grandfather’s method of vinification, which involved seven days of skin maceration and led to more colour and flavour making its way into the wine. After some refinement of the technique, today’s wines have three months of maceration, along with long periods of barrel and bottle ageing. It pioneered the movement towards both natural and orange wines. Everything about it is unique, from the bottle to the production method to the taste – it is truly an experience all wine-lovers should have.

“It’s not enough to be biodynamic or organic,” Mr. Radikon said back in 2005. “Wine has to be a pleasure to drink.”

Intense, golden yellow orange colour. Hints of fig, dried fruit and apple. Elegant fruity and mineral. Pinot Grigio - Chardonnay - Sauvignon Blanc
