BN stands for Blanco Natural and is the makers' basic entry-level white. Mainly Macabeo, it also has a small percentage of Cartoixa Vermell, a white grape with light pink skins that gives this wine a peachy tint after a very brief bit of skin maceration. The juice is briny, with savoury aromas of hay. The acidity is up there, lots of mouth-watering piquancy, with a tart palate that's slightly reminiscent of a sour beer, this is a fun option for a more natural white that doesn't sacrifice on liveliness.
Partida Creus is one of the most impressive natural producers in Spain. The winery was founded by Massimo Marchiori and Antonella Gerona, an Italian couple from Piedmont. Both architects who initially moved to Barcelona before settling in the Massís de Bonastre (Baix Penedés). Their focus is on organic viticulture and minimal intervention winemaking, and their vineyard holdings are mostly old vines of indigenous varieties.
