Chateau Barouillet Bergerac Blanc Sec 2022

This wine with an atypical nose is not very marked by the aromas of Sauvignon. It reveals toasted, even buttered, lightly grilled notes, evidence of its aging on lees. Looking further we find floral and fruity notes of peach and citrus. On the palate, its refreshing vivacity is reminiscent of grapefruit and highlights floral aromas such as honeysuckle or wisteria. It is an astonishing alliance of freshness, fat and aromas.

Direct pressing, cold settling. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts (like all our wines) to preserve the typicality and originality of our terroirs. No malolactic fermentation. Aging in vats on fine lees. This wine is neither fined nor filtered, so it is alive and will evolve in the bottle.

This wine should be served chilled but not iced (9-11°C). It will go perfectly with seafood, spring salads or squid with parsley in the summer, as well as with raclettes in the winter. It is ideal for simple and convivial occasions such as an aperitif.
